Perhaps it work well if the ship was a bit father out, and just the slightest bit closer to the left. The theme is not uncommon in itself You should rip it out and make it more your own. Despite this, it is quite pleasing to the eye and allows the viewer to come up with a background to the characters story, which is a nice touch.
the pictures lighting make it look kind of flat in the foreground, most notably the wall and rocks to the characters left. An change in the light for this, to add more depth, would be nice. The depth on the man in the picture seems to be a bit of- it looks slightly brighter where he is than in the rest of the picture.
The colors blend together well. It helps to give the photographed an aged, but not worn look. Almost as if it was taken long ago but kept under pristine conditions due to careful care.you can feel an emotion invoked in the viewer solely from the way that everything is placed.
You appear to have a good knowledge of the medium, and are especially strong in the use of color.
